The 7-17 Hornets swarmed into Charlotte looking to improve their hive's record against enemies. They finally beat their eighth foe.

1st quarter
The Hornets opened the game on a 4-0 run before the Cats tied the game at 5 with 5:24 left while on a run that would give them a 10-5 lead with 4:30 left. The Hornets retook the lead at 11-10 with 3:29 left. The Cats never led for the rest of the game. The rest of the quarter was back and forth as the Cats tied the game several times but the Hornets held an 18-16 lead going into the 2nd quarter.

2nd quarter
The Hornets opened the 2nd quarter on an 11-3 run to take a 29-19 lead with 4 minutes to go. It looked like the Bobcats had received enough punishment but they decided to make a game of it again. The Cats went on a 14-5 to cut the lead to within 1 point with 53 seconds left in the quarter. The Hornets extended their lead back to 5 before the end of the quarter.

3rd quarter

The Cats cut the lead to 1 with 6:09 left in the quarter but that was the last time the Cats were that close. The Cats had cut the lead to 46-43 with 4:31 left, however, the Hornets went on a 10-0 run to finish the quarter and headed into the fourth with a 13 point lead.

4th quarter
The Cats cut the lead to 48-56 with 5:53 left in the quarter and the home crowd thought the Cats were going to come back, but it was not to be. Neither team could make a strong run until the final minute when the Hornets extended their lead from 13 to 17 and gave the Cats one of their worse losses of the season.

Odd stat: Ariza did not have that great of line but he was quite the pest on defense and most of his points were scored on fast-breaks.
